Max Schwartz

Dedicated to the men of the 1306 Engineer General Service Regiment by former Master Sergeant Max Schwartz. Max served with the Corps of Engineers on the survey and design of the Pan American Highway in Central America in 1942-43 and as a Master Sergeant S-3 with the 1306 Engineer General Service Regiment, Third Army, ETO and Eighth Army PTO from 1943-45. He has written and illustrated several books about the 1306th - their accomplishments and exploits in both the European and Japanese theaters throughout WWII.
